Hey, my laptop Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-575G) has a broken right hinge. Due to this the right hand side of the screen has separated from the keyboard. This issue is starting to create an issue in the left hinge as well as it is slowly becoming damaged aswell due to the opening and closing of the lid. If you believe you can help can you please contact me on thealexmartins@gmail.com. I am able to send pictures for further explanation.hing
Hi @thealexmartins , Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the hinge assemblies. Replacement hinge assemblies are available online. Just search for Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-575G) hinge parts to get results for suppliers of the part.
Unfortunately it’s more often the plastic that the hinges screw into that fails rather than the hinges themselves. You may be able to glue it back together with epoxy (2-part) rapid glue but you will need to add reinforcement, such as by building up the glue around the crack and/or gluing a piece of fibreglass matrix board or a piece of an old de-populated printed circuit board over the crack on the outside of the case.
