My ethernet port/jack has been broken for a few weeks. When I plug in an ethernet cable, it works, but it does not click and will fall out if I do not tape it to my laptop. I’m 100% sure it is my port/jack and not the cable itself, as I’ve tried a number of different cables. I’m trying to figure out what type of piece I should order to fix it myself. Is there a ethernet port piece I can buy online?
I had the same issue with this laptop. This is my 2nd replacement laptop from Asus. I contacted them and they’ve send me a new laptop (after 5 weeks of waiting). This replacement laptop had the same issue again after a few weeks. So again I had to wait 5 weeks. I stopped using the ethernet port and bought an USB-C Ethernet Adapter to prevent it. The design of the port is really bad.
