Chosen Solution
While Cleaning out an old PS2 i scored from the Pawn Shop I managed to damage the ribbon cable clip that hold the larger ribbon cable coming from the DVD drive. I was able to find Motherboards online pretty reasonably priced. Can I just swap in a new one or is it tied to the DVD drive? Thank you, bOOmingraNNy99
Spent some time researching, doesnt look as though it is requiring serial numbers to match on any other internal parts.
