Hey I broke my ps4 power supply connector off the mother board. Not super in the know about the pads underneath the connector. Looking to solder it back on to the mother board but am concerned about the pads underneath not being there or able to supply a connection. Wandering if I need to run any jumper wires to corresponding points on the mother board. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I will drop a picture of what my board and what the connector looks like.

Hi Riley, You will need jumper wires to connect the bottom two pins as they are still stuck on the connector. It is hard to see from the scratch marks but it looks as if the bottom left pad is connected to a big ground plane so it should be easy to jump, however, the other on will be a little bit trickier as it looks as if it is connected to a really thin trace.

Ouch, looks like a soldering job to me As far as i can tell follow the steps above and with a steady hand and a soldering iron it should work. Before you power on the PS4 (If u solder it on correctly) Check the voltages otherwise u might fry the board (That’s not something a steady hand and a soldering iron can fix)
