So I just ordered a new top assembly and battery for my macbook. I used it just fine for a week, then my trackpad started sticking down. I had to open it up and pry the battery off from the middle a little to get it to click again, and even then, the action is a little sticky. Was there some sort of cover I was supposed to put down to keep the trackpad from sticking to the battery?
Some of these Macs have a thin metal cover that prevents the battery from sticking to the trackpad. Check your old battery to see if it’s stuck there and did not get moved over.
