I bought a brand new K45SSWH and just plugged it in to test it. When I turn it onto “stir” it pulses very fast. It also seems to be sparking inside when looking in the gap of the speed controller. I checked youtube videos and all the others spin slowly. Any idea whats wrong?
Hi, Given that it is “brand new”, it should be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. According to this link, KitchenAid says : “For all products purchased in a retail location or through a trade partner website, please refer to that seller’s returns policy. If you have additional questions, please contact Customer Service at 1 (800) 541-6390 for Countertop Appliances, Kitchenware & Kitchen Tools or 1 (800) 422-1230 for Major Appliances and Microwaves”. I suggest that you either return it to the retailer or contact KitchenAid about a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement as it is obviously not working correctly.
