Bottom spray arm not working, replaced diverter. Didn’t fix the problem. Took the diverter disc out and and the bottom spray arm works but with the decreased water pressure the dishes don’t come clean. Any ideas?
Hi @chewdog4 It may be a problem with the wash motor not creating enough pressure to drive the spray arms. Here’s the tech sheet for the dishwasher. Besides showing how to run the diagnostics there are strip circuit diagrams for each function. On p.4 there is the wash/rinse motor circuit and it shows the motor windings resistance values which may be worth checking to see if the motor is OK or not.
You may have to replace the spray arm itself. I know it’s counterintuitive but these things spin, jerk and get banged up all the time. Bottom line, they are one of the fastest wearing part in your dishwasher. That’s what I ended up doing on my Kenmore after trying several things like you did. The spray arm is the culprit.
