I can only run my projector on high altitude settings for fans normal setting the projector or shut off in two hours. Are both fans supposed to run in the same direction

Hi @benqth670 , Do you have to manually set the high altitude fan setting due to a notification from the projector or does the projector increase the fan speed automatically? Don’t know the answer to the problem, but this might help to explain things so that perhaps the problem can be found If your projector is similar to the one shown in the link there is a lot of air being pumped through the projector, so it is possible that all the fans are spinning in the same direction. It may just depend on their orientation as to whether they’re sucking in the cooler outside air and blowing it into the projector or expelling the hotter air from inside the projector. There are two sensors in the projector, a temperature sensor and an altitude sensor. I can think of scenarios where either one if faulty could produce the problem. I can’t find a service manual for the projector so if it is no longer under warranty you may have to open it up and try to find the sensors. From the information that is printed on the actual sensor, search for and hopefully find their datasheet online, so that there is some idea of what to expect when testing them using a DMM (digital multimeter).
