I’ve spilled some water over the top of my iPhone 6 Plus and now both the cameras and flashlight are not working. The camera app gives a black screen for both cameras. When I opened the phone, I saw a little bit of corrosion between the home button connector and the rear camera connector. Any idea how I could fix this? Will it help to brush the area with 100% pure alcohol? Or do I need a new rear (or front) camera? P.s: I scraped most of the corrosion away but still no succes.

Hey Ocho, I would recommend to replace them, it’s better for the phone. Also does your earpiece speaker still works? You can buy al the parts in the iFixit store.

First things first, use the teardown to complete a water damage repair on your phone. Test it out again. If you need to replace the cameras, here is the guide for the front facing camera assembly and then therear camera as well. Here are the parts you will need: iPhone 6 Plus Front Camera and Sensor Cable iPhone 6 Plus Rear Camera [linked product missing or disabled: IF145-273-1] Good luck and keep us posted!
