I purchased a new Nikon lens ( AF-P 70-300 ED VR) for my D7000. When installed both the image in the view finder and any picture are very blurry. It does not respond on AF. I have updated my D7000 to the latest firmware version however nothing has helped.
Apparently the D7000 doesn’t support the new AF-P lenses. Manual focus may or may not work, but I recommend returning it and getting the old AF-S version. The old version likely has better optics, so it’s a toss-up. However, Nikon may eventually release an update, but that is unlikely. Hope this helps!
