I had no issue with Bluetooth of my HP Chromebook Model 14c- ca0235ng for sometime. The mobile phones got connected, one phone was paired. All of sudden, the mobile phones were not recognized. (Strangely the Bravia TV gets recognized by Bluetooth). I contacted HP and talked with them. Since it was under guarantee, HP asked to send it to them for repair. Few weeks later, I received my laptop back. In a paper from HP, it was mentioned that motherboard was changed. I started my Chromebook, switched Bluetooth and searched for devices and lo, the issue was still there! Grrrr… So my question: Does anyone know what the problem could be? Except the Bravia TV, the chromebook simply does not display any of my devices. If i check from mobile phone, the Chromebook is also not to be seen.

Is bluetooth switched on in the settings? Also check that your Bluetooth network isn’t hidden (so other devices can see and connect) If there are devices saved that connected previously I would remove them, restart the device, then try to connect them again.

I think you have two options: Send it back to HP again, and tell them it’s still not working, or buy a new one. Edit: I think I may have figured out the issue. If you have an Android phone, then Chrome OS pairs to it using a new feature, “Pair with Android phone”, under Connected Devices, not Bluetooth. My Chromebook is managed by an organization, so I can’t confirm if this works, but I definitely can show you where the setting is.

Well check your Bluetooth setting and also check for Bluetooth driver update as well
