I just installed a Bluetooth wireless card. When I boot into bios the card is detected and the Bluetooth light blinks on and off a few times then pauses for a few seconds then starts again. When I boot into Linux mint I get a Bluetooth icon in the toolbar, but when I click the Bluetooth configuration the progress bar freezes. The Bluetooth light is also off at this point. My question is what does the blinking light mean. I heard online that it was supposed to be a solid blue. Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi @manuel12345 , Don’t know the answer but in what position is the Wireless switch on the side of the laptop? Is it set to position 2 i.e. On or position 3 where it scans for any connections? Position 1 is the Off position. According to the user guide for the laptop, this switch can control the BT as well as the WLAN.
