Hi, I recently noticed that my screen ( 17” anti-glare) is displaying a blue tint and some weird pixelated artifacts on my UI (I’m is running High sierra). I tried switching from Discrete Graphics (Nvidia GeForce GT 330m 512MB) to Integrated Graphics. I did manage to reduce the amount of artifacts letting the computer go to sleep and waking it. What could be causing this issue?
To validate things you really need to plug in an external monitor to see if the issue is present on it. If not then your display and/or the LVDS cable from the display is degrading. The other year I had to put down my 17” system as I too found it a great system (shedding a few tears). In my case the GPU gave up and replacing the logic board was just not economical.
