Got Iphone 5s from customer saying it went dead. Battery was completely discharged. With new battery apple logo appeared but then the dreaded blue screen then apple then red screen and so on. This has not been worked on and no previous screw damage. Any ideas? Thanks.
I ran into this problem yesterday with a customer’s phone. With my customer, the phone was water damaged, though. You may want to ask if there was any water damage to the phone recently. You can always tell if there is water damage by looking at the “water damage indicators” which is a small white/red sticker above the battery. White = No water damage. Red = Water damage. If the indicator is red, it is more than likely a water damaged motherboard and will result in more cost in parts and labor than most customers are willing to spend. A few other things to try: -Unplug the rear facing camera and try to power on. It has been known to cause issues similar to this. -Try a new battery. -Clean all the connections with denature alcohol and let it dry. Good luck!
