hello, my bacbook pro always switches on with no errors, problems… i leave it working on its own, after few minutes it goes in to sleep mode and then after another few minutes comes up a blinking grey folder with a question mark on… i did the reset, its still on… i bought it aa refurbished, but with a years warranty… is this fixable? should i be worried? i mean it kind of works fine, but as i said, once i leave switched on - it goes in to sleep mode - and then after while the blinking folder comes up… not at the startup tho… was trying to find other posts who might have the same problem but i couldnt, everybodys on about the startup… Update (03/01/2020)
its all set, as i said the blinking folder never comes up at startup… it comes up when macbook goes into sleepmode, so lets say im doing some work in photoshop im meantime someone rings me and i go outside to talk… after ten minutes i come back to my macbook and the blinking folder comes up, i have lost my work in photoshop and i have to force restart by my power button Update (03/02/2020) @danj

A blinking folder is the system can’t find the OS. Lets do this once you get the system up and running, then open the preferences and select the Startup Disk, make sure your internal drive is selected. Reference: Mac startup key combinations Update (03/01/2020) OK, thats not good then ;-{ Your system is loosing its power to your RAM so it is flushed when the system is going to sleep. Let’s see what your batteries condition is. Install this app CoconutBattery and post a snapshot so we can see Adding images to an existing question Update (03/03/2020) You may want to return the system as I think your logic board is failing! Looking at the battery info we can see it has a fresh battery (manufactured Sept 2019)! While I can understand the reseller might have replaced the battery its also possible the original owner was encountering issues which is why they turned in it.
