Hello All I replaced the screen on my daughter iPhone 6, no issues and all worked well. Then maybe a week later she let the battery run dead, and since then we can’t get the screen to display. There is `activity’ going on (makes noise when charger plugs in, you can ring the phone, connects to iTunes), but no display. I thought screen had failed, so I replaced the screen again, but still same issue! Have tried hard reset, disable and reconnect battery, but still nothing Any ideas anyone??
Hi, first, and I know you said you replaced the lcd but always good to rule out the easier stuff, double check your screen. Make sure the lcd cable connector is flat and not bent. This happens a lot with the this model preventing a proper connection. If that doesn’t work possibly a backlight filter got damaged. Did you disconnect the battery before working on the phone? Do you have a microscope to look at the board under? I would carefully examine the lcd connector itself on the motherboard. Check if any pins got damaged. If that looks good move onto the fuses. Picture below shows them. Make sure they didn’t accidentally get moved or removed. Finally rule out the backlight ic itself. This ones trickier because you have to desolder the shield covering the cpu. It’s right next to the screen connectors. Hopefully this gets you started In
the right direction.
