Hello, After disassembling my iMac 21.5" Late 2012 (EMC 2544, model A1418) to install an SSD two vertical black bands have appeared on the monitor, which start to appear gray and after a few minutes turn black, on my secondary monitor the image it works perfectly and the iMac itself works without problems.

Ouch! I’ve got bad news here. In the process of taking the display off you damaged it! Sadly, you’ll need to replace it to get it working again [linked product missing or disabled: IF173-047-1] I’m suspecting you used the wrong tools in taking it off and/or didn’t follow the iFixit guide iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2544 Display Replacement and here’s the tool & adhesive strips [linked product missing or disabled: IF173-005-1]
