Chosen Solution
After carefully installing an SSD into my 27” iMac (EMC 2639) I have a black area on my screen. Any ideas what might be causing this and if I can fix it. I’ve ordered a new digital display cable in the hope that this might work.
Sadly the LCD screen got damaged during removal. Here’s the needed part: 27” iMac Display Assembly, Apple P/N 661-7169
