Chosen Solution
Yesterday I finished the glass replacement of a G930 and everything worked fine. Today, after I installed the assembly back onto its frame it turned on with a huge black smudge. The alignment was done with a universal mold and I used LOCA. Connectors are clean, flex looks fine.
What is there to do?
After some research I have found out that the black smudge is actually all the dead pixels. What “killed” them is the LCD being put under tension, not pressure. A drop can cause this. This only happens to AMOLEDs. Hope I helped someone.
