Chosen Solution
I have tried shutting it down and restarting to reinstall the software but the screen still comes on black and turns off a few seconds later. If there is any work to be done on it I would like to do it myself, so if you can help me that would be great.
muchonice, I’m sorry to hear you are having an issue with your MacBook Air. A friend of mine had the same issue. Was able to use it, but would should down at random times. Replacing the Logic Board fixed the issue. I believe the main issue is the GPU overheating for some reason. I would recommend taking it to the Apple Store and setting up a Genius Bar appointment.
