My sister split milk on my computer about a year ago. A week later everything worked but the keyboard. So I gave my computer to my uncle until I could buy a new keyboard. I got it back today after he put the new keyboard in. Its been charging for about 30 minutes. I turned it on, everything turns on accept the screen. The keyboard lights work, the power bottom lights up, the fans turn on, the other lights work, but the screen doesn’t turn on. Should I let it charge foe longer or is there something I should do?
@cheesecake you are not telling us what model Toshiba your laptop is. Bad thing about Toshiba is that they are more secretive than any foreign government. It is a dreadful company that has been protecting their schematics with all kinds of dirty tricks. Anyhow, it sounds like you are having some corrosion or short circuit on either your LCD, backlight circuitry or the complete video circuitry. Connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if that works. If it does you are looking at either the backlight or the LCD display. You need to check the motherboard for any obvious corrosion damage and /or missing burned components.
