Chosen Solution

Hi guys, Is there anyone who can tell me what to replace or what to do with my MacBook Air 11” which you can turn on and after not even 5 min the screen goes black and the cooling system starts off very loud. I went to the Apple Store and they said to replace the logic board… But as you know it is very expensive part. Is there a cheaper solution to fix or do? Thanks in advance!!

If you have the needed tools lets take the battery out. Follow this guide MacBook Air 11" Late 2010 Battery Replacement. Once out, press and hold the power button for a good minute to discharge the logic. Now plug in your MagSafe charger the system should spontaneously start up. Does the system run longer this way? If it does lets install this app CoconutBattery. Inspect your battery is the top and bottom surfaces flat or do you see a bulge in the middle? Now with the app installed shutdown the system and re-install your battery. With the MagSafe re-connected lets try starting the system again and quickly run the CoconutBattery App with your phone snap a pic or if you can snap a screen capture of the screen and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question
