I followed the iFixit guide to replace the battery on my mid 2015 15 inch Retina Macbook Pro. MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Battery Replacement I did the full disassembly because I also wanted to replace the Magsafe 2 port. After reassembly the computer boots but it has a black screen. Backlight works but just a black display. Plugging an external monitor works, computer functions normally other wise. I tried PRAM reset and SMC reset as well as reseating the display connector which I was always very careful with and has no noticeable damage. Any ideas? Could it be a fuse? I thought a fuse was only for the backlight which definitely works… I saw other people with the same problem but can’t get an answer on a fix Any help would be appreciated!
Carefully disconnect the battery and then unplug the Display cable and take a picture like this one
