Chosen Solution
Hello again, I found a lot about black screens for iphones, but I have a specific question as I did not find an answer to it: I replaced the display for my iPhone recently and it worked well for it, but after 2 weeks of running (directly after a phone call), it suddenly went black (it shimmered a Little bit) and then went off totally. I describe it as I had exactly the same Problem with the iPhone 5c of my wife as well. I did not find a solution yet. If I try to make the “reset mode” (hold both home- and on/off-button for 15 seconds) or disconnect the battery after opening, there is nothing. If I connect it to iTunes, it connects (but does not work as I have to type in the PIN Code, haha without display and fingerscan does not work). For the iPhone 5c, I ordered another Screen, but that won’t work as well. So I guess that the diplay should still work.. Did anyone had the same Problem? Or even better: can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!
have you tried a new screen on it yet? it could be that the part was defective. if you have tried a new screen and still have the same result it could also possibly be the backlight went out on the device. you could try taking the phone into a completely dark room and try using a bright flashlight (with Cree bulb) and see if you can see anything on the screen, if so then you have a blown resistor possibly which controls the backlight.
