Chosen Solution
I just swapped logic boards on my iPad mini. After reinstalling the screen I was surprised to see some weird black marks along the edge of the display. It wasn’t like this before, so what’s the cause for it? Is there anything that I can do?
Let’s start with something simple. Could it possibly just be adhesive that was holding on the screen? I’m guessing not. I would probably venture to say that this looks like parts of the LCD have been damaged. Could also be something with the motherboard but I’m going to guess it’s damage to the LCD itself. In this case, I would say you probably need to replace the whole LCD panel on the device.
