Chosen Solution
Hello. So, I broke my smartphone’s screen and in order to change it, one of the steps is to remove the battery. It happens that in the process of removing the battery I ripped off a bit of the wrap envolving it. I already searched for a solution but didnt found it so here I am. The closest I found was people puncturing the batteries and they starting smoke but thats not the case. In my case it’s really only a bit of the battery’s cover. Hope someone can tell me if it’s dangerous or how could I fix it by wrapping it again and with what matterials or if I just should buy a new battery. Thanks in advance :)
thenunorodrigues, The best thing to do would be to replace the battery. Lithium-Ion type batteries are dangerous to mess around with and like to catch fire when messed with. I hope this helps, Charlie
repairing the battery is a no no. if any sort of odd stuff can be seen from the tear, dispose of it. You should post a picture to clarify though. Adding images to an existing question
