I seem to be having an issue where every few days the LVDS cable is becoming loose and then the screen is messing up. I know this is the issue as every time I open up the case and reconnect the cable into the socket the screen works fine again for a few days. What is the best way to secure the cable? I am thinking electrical tape, but don’t want to risk screwing anything up!
I don’t think your LVDS cable connection is the issue. You more likely have either a damaged cable or the logic board connector is needing re-soldering. Take some good pics that shows the connector ends both the cable & the board connector and paste them here so we can help aim you to which direction you need to focus on.
