Hi All, Since I bought this iphone 2 months ago , the lighting port felt very stiff. Under a closer inspection today I noticed the pins are not even and look bent. Is this normal and within specs ? So far It works well, but I don’t know wether I should be concerned about it..
Update (04/09/2020) After watching the iFixit video where it show how to replace the lighting port I have my doubts about getting it serviced . There’s silicone all over the phone and around the screen being removed which is not reapplied during the re-assembling. So I understand the phone won’t be up to original specs ( sealing is lost around several parts ) after the repair.
I would get that repaired. You can call around local repair shops to see if they’re open. Make sure they use a premium OEM port and not an aftermarket as the X and above get real picky when it comes to aftermarket parts.
