Hi, I have a pair of BeatsX that are having this problem A little backstory, I had these for about a year and a half, and one day, all of the sudden, they stopped turning on. I would plug them and see no response at all, BUT, the beats updater would show them connected, 100% battery, and my Windows machine would make a sound when I plugged them in. Since I’m in South America, with no Apple Stores, and this is way past their warranty days, I opened it up, and I bought a new battery from AliExpress, soldered it, and now, when I plug it, it just blinks a red light all the time, and nothing else. If I unplug them, nothing, cannot turn on either, and the beats updater (or Windows) doesn’t see them. I tried the power button + center button and power button + volume down while plugged in, and after 10 seconds it stops blinking, if I release the buttons, it goes back to blinking again. If I try it while they are unplugged, nothing happens. Anyone seen anything like this? I can open it up and do mess with it again, if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!
Sadly, these headphones are not really repairable - time for a new set.
