Replaced cracked screen on Surface pro 3 and now the battery isn’t detected, tried doing updates in windows, it will sit and restart every 15mins to do a firmware update but will never complete and continually restart, tried uninstalling the driver from device manager for the battery, tried just letting it charge, tried the power button and volume up button for 15 seconds or longer. any other suggestions?
Hello, I was able to find the solution to my battery not detected problem. There is a small piece that goes between the battery ribbon and the board connection. After disconnecting the LCD/glass, that’s when I noticed the extra little piece that should have gone in. Thankfully, I saved everything from the repair, reinstalled that piece and had no problem with battery detection after that. Hope this helps.
could be that when the screen was replaced they did not reconnect the battery cord thus not being able to be detected you should contact the ones who repaired it hope this helps
