I replaced the battery on an iPhone6 and powered it back up with no issue and it was sitting at 50% battery. I let it drain to 9% to condition the battery, but when I went to charge it back up, it wouldn’t charge. I know there is already a thread for this question but it didn’t have an actual answer. Please help, thanks
many different things can cause this problem. Start by thinking to yourself, “Why did i replace the battery in the first place?” If it is because the device was not charging already, perhapse it could be a different problem than just the battery? in my store, we would run it against a load tester to see if it accepts a charge. however, at a home environment, you will need to send it in under warranty, and get the battery replaced with a second one to verify that the battery is good. once you know you have a good battery, you would move on to other components. Make sure no physical damage has accured to the board, and that there are no loose connectors. (charge port and the like,) once all that is verified, then you would try replacing the charge port. if the charge port is bad, it can SAY its charging, but not actually go up. so verifying this is not happening is the next step. After this, you are likely looking at a board level failure.
