Chosen Solution
Hey guys, I have a Macbook Air with the following configuration: Processor : 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory : 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics : Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB When I turned it on there was this X over the battery icon saying “No battery available” and I kept seeing the charger green. Then I looked for some solutions and found out that holding Shift + Ctrl + option + power while the computer is off would solve this issue. I tried it and I got excited because right after doing the charger’s light turned orange. But then while booting, you know those bars indicating the progress of the mac while it’s being turned on? After a point in this process the light of the charger turned green once again, and the issue came back. The computer works while on battery, but as soon as the safemag charger is removed there’s that dark screen of low battery and it’s immediately turned off. Can you help me with this issue? Many thanks! Fernando.
Do you use your system on battery a lot? If you do you may have over stressed the battery to the point you need a new battery. Lets run this gem of an app: coconutBattery. it should help in figuring out whats up. Post a screenshot here on what it shows you so we can see it too.
