Hi, I have a MBP early 2011, I have replaced the battery with a genuine apple one. it takes over 12 hours to charge, and only runs for less than 2 hours on battery once charged. So here is what i’ve tried. Ran battery calibration 3 times as on apple websiteSMC resetPRam resetmultiple genuine apple 85watt chargersnew hard drive with fresh install mac OS (to eliminate any OS settings or software) I have tried the new battery in another macbook pro early 2011 of exact spec. it charges to full in 2.5 - 4 hours hours with over 5 hours running time on battery. So clearly the battery is not at fault. So it looks to be a hardware fault, i have ordered the internal magsafe PCB. which I am waiting to arrive. Anyone else have ideas. its starting to look like logic board. I am an electronic engineer by trade and quite capable of any hardware replacement on this device. Thanks

You likely have an issue with the voltage comparator logic which compares the state of the battery. This logic is part of the main logic board. You’ll likely need to get ahold of a good set of schematics to trace out the logic to figure out the problem.
