I replaced the whole retina screen assembly according to your guide, which went successfully. However the battery of the computer never worked after being plugged back in, and the laptop would only run plugged in. Now the battery says “replace immediately” and when the power cord is unplugged, the computer shuts off. I tried all kinds of resets and OS re-installations, but there is no change. This surprises me very much, because the computer ran on battery just fine before the screen replacement, while it held power for decent time. 580 cycles. Please download coconut battery and let us know what it reports about your battery. http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba… It could be some shock to the battery while connecting/disconnecting the battery finally sent it over the edge. 580 cycles is quite a lot, although they are rated for 1000 cycles. I’ve seen these batteries fail at as little as 300.
