Chosen Solution
I replaced my iPhone 5 battery, and the replacement went fine (hard to get the thing opened, but worked eventually), but the battery performance is still poor. I’ve gone through a ton of troubleshooting (including Apple’s online diag tool, which tests the battery and then suggests I send in the phone for repair). I think the battery is defective. Has this happened to anyone else?
I’ve had batteries that are defective, it’s not uncommon. I’d try another battery if you have one and see if it solves the issue
