Chosen Solution
So I replaced older battery with a new battery and after the install I noticed that the trackpad wan’t functioning properly as it once did. It’s annoying to use and I was looking for a solution to fixing this issue without having to get another battery that may or may not fix the problem.
This is the most common problem with a swollen battery. Ergo I would open it up and look. You possible did not get the battery fully seating and it may be pressing on the bottom of the trackpad. You may have used the wrong battery or a knockoff battery.
