Hey Guys, I replaced the battery in my MBP last week, and once I had the laptop all back together, it started just fine, in both MacOS and Windows (I run Boot Camp). The battery showed 67% and charging, so I closed the lid and left it to charge overnight. When I grabbed the laptop to take it to work the following day, I got it to the office and I saw the screen turn on. However, once I set it down on my desk and got set up, I was unable to get the laptop to respond to anything. I tried charging it for hours, tried reseating the battery “daughter”/jumper cable multiple times, made sure the battery connection looked good, etc. At this point, it is a complete boat anchor. I cannot get it to respond to anything, I can hold down the power button for minutes on end, without response. I don’t know what to do, I think I might have to just take it to a repair shop at this point. One question I had was on the battery daughter/jumper cable, how “sensitive” is that cable? I tried to be careful with it, but is it fragile in that maybe if the cable got crimped accidentally that it might cause issues w/ the battery? I just don’t see how if the PC turned on at one time, how there could be anything amiss in terms of the reconstruction of the machine. I have years of experience working on PCs and was supremely careful to put everything back just as I found it. I’m at a loss, any ideas are most welcome, thanks! Update (02/09/2021) Hey Dan, thanks for the reply, here are some photos I took of the battery cable and the connection to the logic board. Let me know if you’d like more specific pic(s) and I’ll upload ASAP. Really appreciate the help!
