Hi Guys, I have a next problem. People brought a mostly new MacBook Pro Retina 15". The problem is that Mac OS propose to change the battery. When I opened the case I saw that one element of Battery is damaged. The image of battery http://d.pr/i/wWXF The reasons why it happened are unknown. so i Bought a new battery (it was declared like original but i am not sure). I installed it into MacBook, but when I start Mac OS it show me the X battery icon and it dont recognize it. I try to reset SCM, PRAM - nothing. When I connect the power it changes from green light to orange. And nothing. I was awaiting 30 minutes to charge it - nothing. When I check the power of the new battery it show me about 2V, the old battery 2V (both unconnected). If i connect new battery and I check the Power of the connector battery it showed me 12V. If I connect old battery it said me 0% of charge and change battery, so old battery are recognized. When I connect new battery - not recognized again. Is there any key to solve a problem? Thanks! Eugene. p.s. Sorry for my english, it is not my native language. Update (02/21/2013) Continuation of my history. It seemed the unoriginal battery is ok. I set it to another macbook pro retina and another macbook started from the new battery. But when i connected to the macbook that i try to repair so macbook dont start and if connect power it starts but it shows me that battery absent. So i guess that problem is with a motherbord. The motherboard got a trouble when original battery was damaged. I guess it is safety device. Maybe anyone has a circuit of macbook pro retina? :) Thanks.
This machine is still under warranty. Have Apple do your repairs. I would also take out AppleCare to extent my warranty on a troubled machine. Tell me what country you are in and I’ll get you the contact information.
