Battery plug looks different from one I took out
You bought parts for the wrong model then.
Let’s verify what model of iPhone you actually have. Please post the model that appears on your phone. Here’s a couple of ways to find it. Look in Settings Go to Settings > General > About. To the right of Model, you’ll see the part number. To see the model number, tap the part number.
Look on your device On an iPhone 7 or earlier, an iPad, or an iPod touch, find the model number on the back of your device.
If they don’t look the same, you probably have bought parts for the wrong model. Contact the support for the seller and tell them your problem and hopefully, they will be able to help you solve the problem by allowing you to change to the correct part. I can’t guarantee this is possible but I would give it a try, depending on the seller it may very well be possible.
