I just replaced the battery in my SP4 using ifixit’s excellent guide. I have not adhered the screen to the base yet because I wanted to test first. Attached AC power and turned it on. Everything works except it is reporting “Battery not present” and dies as soon as I disconnect AC. Device manager also has nothing under Batteries. Any ideas? Thanks!
I recommend confirming the device model for compatibility then checking the connection to the motherboard to make sure that it is secure. Is this by chance an iFixit replacement battery? If so, please feel free to contact our customer support for further assistance.
Hi, Did you resolve your issue related to this? I have completed the same thing, however 100% sure I installed the battery the correct way up. When aligning all the holes for the battery, everything lined up and the battery is taped to the motherboard.
