Hi! I have bought a new battery for the MacBook Pro 15" (Early 2011). While replacing the battery I also replaced the trackpad and the cable for the trackpad. For that I removed the motherboard. After I finished the repairs I connected the charging cable. However, there was no light turned on on the charging cable. I had to reconnect the cable 2-3 times before the light came on (I can not remember which color). I haven´t used MacBook for couple of month. Now when I attach the charging cable it lights green. However it says that the battery is not charging. My question is, is it the battery which is not working correctly or did I somehow damage MagSafe when I removed the motherboard? Is there any way to check?

With the charger plugged in, do a SMC reset. If the Magsafe is still responding the Magsafe board is most likely not broken. Give the SMC reset a try.
