Chosen Solution

I’ve looked at all the other posts and tried SMC reset, unplugging and removing battery, trying a different charger. I bought a new charger about a month ago and am using it in Uganda. I have a converter but my computer was electrically charged and would shock me. I read the posts and realized I bought a counterfeit charger. It says 60W but it’s not made by Apple. What can I do now? Coconut batter shows the battery is still good but it’s at a2% charge and now my computer is unbearably slow. I also installed an SSD about 5 months ago Thank you for any help you might be able to offer! I am in Uganda so finding a knowledgeable Mac repairman is a slim chance

Update (10/24/2018) Also, I had no issues with my battery charging or holding a charge prior to purchasing the new charger.

I believe you may have shorted/fried your battery despite the fact that it says your battery is in good condition. The main fix is to buy a new battery which will cost you approx. $30-$50 USD and to buy a new highly rated charger for about $20-$30 USD. Since you have run through most of the fixes I do not believe there is much left to fix in your current battery unless someone else on the forum has had this issue and solved it. In regards to your slow computer speeds, consider upgrading the ram, it works miracles and costs about $50 to buy an 8GB set and about $90 to buy a 16GB set. Here I am going to list some links to parts that I think will work perfectly to fix your issue: Charger: https://www.amazon.com/MacBook-Charger-M… RAM: https://www.ebay.com/itm/16GB-KIT-2X-8GB… I highly recommend this seller for the RAM because customer support is spectacular and they offer a lifetime warranty which I have used and they ship it the same day.
