Hello, I have an ASUS GL503VD laptop and I have an issue with the battery. The BIOS shows that my battery is 91% charged but when I unplug my laptop, it just stops… The percentage of the battery is always 91% and does not change at all. What I tried : Factory resetBIOS reset/updateDriver reset/updateOpen the laptop to unplug/plug the battery connector
Can someone help me to solve this please ? Thank you in advance.
@rtxx Which driver did you reset? Did you try uninstalling the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from Device Manager > Battery and then after it has uninstalled restart the laptop and let Windows “find” and install it again? Also check if it has the latest drivers installed. Right click on the entry and click on Update drivers and follow the prompts. Create a battery report to check the status of the battery. When you have the report, compare the Design Capacity value versus the Full Charge Capacity value to determine it status. With a good battery they should nearly be the same.
You should consider replacing the battery… How old is the computer?
