Chosen Solution
As the title really, I’ve got a problem with an iPhone 4S where the battery will fully drain from a full charge within a couple of hours. I have tried a full factory reset eliminating the software and replaced the battery and still no fix. I’m thinking this may be a hardware issue, could it be one of the ICs need replacing?
This is just an issue with older batteries in an iPhone 4S. It is relatively easy to replace the battery. You can buy a replacement kit from iFixIt here iPhone 4S Battery If you get lost during the process you can follow this video. (This is not my video but I looked at it and it is a good guide.) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJud8Hlr… As you can see the replacement kit from iFixit is relatively cheap. You don’t have much to lose even if it doesn’t 100% solve your problem but from my experience, I would say that you just need a new battery.
