My wife’s laptop drains its battery really quickly even after replacing it with multiple new ones. The first was an Anker battery around Feb ‘17. Around the same time I also installed 8GB of new RAM, a 275GB SSD and a new HD cable (old one had gone bad). The battery worked well for about 11 months, when it started to drain very quickly. The new HD cable also gave out like the previous one so I replaced it and decided to replace the battery again, this time with an Egoway battery. This immediately had trouble holding a charge and sprung for a more expensive, Apple-store recommended NuPower. This seemed promising but quickly lost its ability to hold a charge as well. Any ideas about what might be causing this poor battery performance? I followed the conditioning instructions very carefully for all three batteries. The ability for the Anker battery to perform fine with the new parts for a year, I think, shows that it might be more a battery issue than a computer one but then why are they all duds? Thanks for the help!
Well, let’s take a closer look. Please download, install and run Coconut Battery and post a picture of your results. https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutb… Also would you drop that NuPower in and do a report on it. (That’s a nice battery that I have used often with no issues). Have you ever experienced video anomalies or screen artifacts on this machine?
