iPhone XS battery replacement. Installed new battery but when plugging it into the board the connector starts to get rapidly warm. Just disconnected and didn’t attempt to boot phone. Was not sure if this was a normal reaction. Have ever noticed it on any other battery repair before.
Excess heat is a sign of a short. Inspect the connectors on both to make sure they’re not damaged and then try with the new battery. Why was it initially replaced? I’m assuming because it needed it but would like to confirm that’s the case. Also where did you source your battery from?
Phone would not charge or turn on. No water damage. Bought the battery off of amazon. Found article that said iphone x batteries would work with xs
I’m having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution?
