My battery charging port seems to have a short. It will not stay functional unless the cable is in a particular position.
jomibu doesn’t sound like a short. Sounds like it just not making contact. If you give us the model of your computer we can try and check to see if the post is soldered to the board or if it is attached via flex cable.
