Chosen Solution
I recently bought a new battery for my MBP 15inch as the old battery had over 1500 cycles on it and was not holding a charge. I followed the relatively simple instructions to replace and lo and behold the new battery worked just fine. Indeed the capacity was larger than the design capacity when fully charged. I can’t remember the exact number but it was over 9000mAh. Looking at the battery healy now i can see that this has diminished to 7953mAh whilst the design capacity is 8755mAh. I conditioned the battery according to the instructions. I am using an official Apple 85w charger. Have I got a bad battery? I have attached screenshots from coconut battery with and without charger attached.
