Hi , my late model 2011 gets hot and now the battery is needing replacing. I am concerned that my laptop will Continue to get hot after replacing the battery . Is there anyone who has had this same issue? Also does i fix it use genuine parts? Thank you, Liz
Always try to use genuine or high quality parts, specially on batteries. Not all parts are created equal, also avoid buying parts from china. I work repairing electronics for a living and that is just my experience. I would say to try and buy the battery in a local shop and try it out, if it does not fix your problem then return it. Batteries begin to swell up and in rare occasions leak the acid found inside them and destroy your electronics.
