Hey everyone i have an issue with this tablet, it was dropped, I have replaced the screen, ribbon cables both the primary and lcd ribbons, the charger port, the battery and yet I can hear the tablet works, the touch screen works but there is zero backlight and I know the screen is working in a previous tablet, im at a loss at why im not still getting any backlight on the screen.
Hi, Try shining a torch at an angle close to the screen and check for images when the tablet is on. They will be very faint if they are there so trying in a darkened room may help to see them. This is just to verify that it is only a backlight problem. If there are images then here’s the relevant troubleshooting section from the SM-T580 service manual that may help. Also check that the LCD cable systemboard connector pins aren’t damaged or bent etc.
